You can use the Fitwins App to track your progress during your virtual running and virtual cycling challenges, making progress along the interactive map route, completing milestones and stages. The Fitwins App is free to download from the Apple App Store and Google Playstore. You can then register and view the monthly challenges.
Choose to enter a monthly challenge as a gold, silver or bronze Fitwins member. You can enter the challenge using Fitwins coins. Fitwins coins can be purchased in coin bundles by selecting your coin balance in the top right icon. If you select gold entry, please make sure your address details are up to date in the profile section so that we can ship your awesome bespoke medal and pack out to you. Gold entry includes a high quality medal with distance ribbon, personalised certificate, Tribe nutrition product shipped to your address. Gold challenge entry is 200 Fitwins Coins, which can be purchased for £15 (UK), $33 (USA), 27E (EU) and this price INCLUDES tracked shipping of your medal and pack.
If you have made a gold challenge entry, we will ship out your awesome medal and pack at the end of the challenge month. This is done automatically, since all your activities from STRAVA sync seamlessly with the Fitwins App.
Record your activities using your watch, other wearable device, or mobile phone. We recommend syncing your activities with STRAVA. Fitwins syncs with STRAVA to track your activities and progress. Complete activity milestones to earn Fitwins stars, virtual medals, certificates and more in your locker. To sync with Strava select the profile image and 'link my STRAVA account'
If you have entered the challenge as a gold or silver member, we will ship your pack out at the end of the challenge month automatically. All entrants receive medal badges in their app locker.
As you make progress during your challenge you will complete challenge stages. If you are not able to make it to the end of the next stage, your achievement and progress will still be awarded in your locker. Eg. If you have entered as a gold member and make it to 25 miles but are unable to get to 50 miles (eg. you get to 42 miles), you will still receive your 25 miles medal and 42 miles will be recorded in your locker. Similarly, if you cycle 510km, you will still receive a 500km ribbon. If you choose to extend your challenge, you will still receive your medal ribbon from the previous stage (with gold entry) if you don't complete the next stage.
You can create a group and invite others to join you in the challenge. Track your progress and motivate each other by creating or joining a group. Select 'create a group' and you will be given a shareable code. You can create a group with up to 5 members and see their progress on the interactive map.
Do I need to sign up for a set distance each month?
No you can let the app track your progress and determine how far you can go. When you have signed up for a challenge, you decide how much distance you want to cover during the month. This means you can flexible in how you complete YOUR challenge: so if you are feeling great then you can do more; or satisfied with your distance then you will receive your award at that distance. Your medal (gold entry) and certificate will reflect the distance award that you have achieved in the month.
Can I still enter a challenge after the start of the month?
Yes, and all distances covered from the start of the month will count, as the Fitwins App syncs with Strava and uses all activities from the start of the month, even if you enter on the 6th, 7th, 8th etc. of the month.
I have completed a stage and it says 'extend your challenge'. What does this mean?
It means you can share your progress to show you have completed a stage. The best option is to extend the challenge and see how much further you can go. If you don't complete the next stage, or it seems too far, you will still receive your award for all completed stages.
How do you verify that I have completed the monthly challenge?
If you are using the app, verification is done automatically by sycning with Strava. You can complete your challenge, and Fitwins will sort everything seamlessly.
I am having issues with the App?
If you are experiencing issues with the app, firstly check that you are using the latest updated version. You may choose to uninstall and reinstall the app. If you are still experiencing issues, use the 'report issue' button in the app and we will sort any issues you may have.
I do some running and walking on a treadmill. Do you accept this?
Yes we do. In order for this to show up on your monthly totals, please add this as a manual entry to your tracking app. Any running/walking activity counts.
I entered the challenge and I am struggling to find motivation. Can I have a refund?
Firstly, check out our social media pages and articles for advice. They should help you to stay motivated. Try running with a group and get others involved to keep you engaged in the challenge. Look at some of the videos we have put on our Youtube channel, which should provide inspiration. We can't offer refunds due to a lack of motivation. You signed up to the challenge so come on - let's get this done! A quitter never wins and a winner never quits! Be a winner...think of the medal at the end of this challenge.
I'm going to enter and register miles in my car. How will you check?
Fitwins medals carry merit and are a reward for an amazing effort. Any effort to demerit the medal and awards will be dealt with accordingly - no medal and no refund. Sadly you are not a winner but a cheat but don't worry, we won't shame you. We don't want you getting this type of publicity.
